Technical Leader of Power Generation
The Technical Leader will serve as the primary Genset Subject Matter Expert, supporting Development Engineering, Estimation, and Supply Chain Operations, with increased involvement in commercial solution development and segment growth support for Data Center and Utility markets.
This role will provide advanced technical leadership in generator technologies and contribute to strategic product alignment and OEM engagement across our distributed energy and microgrid portfolio. The Technical Leader will ensure technical rigor, solution standardization, and competitive cost positioning while supporting scalable, execution-ready solutions within our EPC framework.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
7–10 years of experience in power generation, with strong technical expertise in Genset technologies and applications.
Experience supporting conceptual engineering and cost estimation processes.
Familiarity with distributed generation or microgrid integration.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to influence without direct authority.
Effective communicator capable of translating technical concepts into commercial implications.

Preferred Experience
Experience within an EPC, mission-critical, or industrial infrastructure environment.
Exposure to OEM engagement or supplier evaluation processes.
Familiarity with emissions regulations, fuel-flexible technologies, and interconnection considerations.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Commercial Solution Support
Provide technical guidance to support proposals and early-stage solution development for Data Center and Utility clients.
Collaborate with Estimation to refine cost models, budgetary pricing inputs, and configuration assumptions for mission-critical applications.
Support technical narratives and differentiators in client presentations and RFP responses.
Analyze lifecycle cost, reliability, and redundancy configurations (N+1, 2N, etc.) to support competitive positioning.
Segment-Focused Engineering Alignment
Develop application guidelines tailored to hyperscale, colocation, and utility grid-support environments.
Support compliance considerations related to emissions, interconnection, and regulatory standards.
Monitor evolving reliability expectations and performance standards within mission-critical infrastructure markets.
Genset Technical Expertise
Serve as the primary technical resource for Genset technologies (diesel, natural gas, bi-fuel, hydrogen-ready, CHP-capable platforms).
Develop and maintain technical standards, preferred configurations, and application guidelines across key verticals.
Provide technical guidance during conceptual design and early-stage project development.
Evaluate generator performance characteristics, emissions compliance, fuel strategies, and lifecycle considerations.
Development Engineering & Estimation Support
Partner with Development Engineering to support standardized Genset solution architectures for microgrid applications.
Provide Estimation teams with technical inputs, budgetary pricing benchmarks, and specification guidance.
Assist in developing pre-engineered solution templates to enhance proposal speed and competitiveness.
Support constructability and schedule alignment discussions during early project phases.
Strategic Supplier & Product Support
Support management of strategic OEM relationships in collaboration with Supply Chain leadership.
Participate in OEM discussions related to capacity planning, innovation roadmaps, and technical differentiation.
Evaluate supplier technical capabilities, product roadmaps, and innovation pipelines.
Contribute to framework agreements by providing technical and performance insights.
Monitor market trends and emerging generation technologies relevant to distributed energy solutions.
Supply Chain & Risk Awareness
Provide input into supplier performance evaluations related to quality, delivery reliability, and warranty performance.
Identify technical risks associated with long-lead equipment, regulatory changes, and supply constraints.
Support cross-functional mitigation strategies for critical power generation components.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a technical liaison between Engineering, Estimation, and Supply Chain teams.
Support complex pursuits and client discussions requiring in-depth generation expertise.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on product standardization and cost optimization.

This position may require occasional travel to project sites and collaboration with remote teams.
The role involves both office-based work and on-site inspections and assessments.
